Catch-the-Capsule Game

The capsule game takes customers into the world of new Nescafé Dolce Gusto organic coffees in a playful way.

To publicize the launch of three new organic capsule varieties from South America, Nescafé Dolce Gusto embarked on a promotional mall tour in German-speaking Switzerland. In addition to tasting the coffee and presenting the latest capsule machines, the aim was to attract mall visitors to the stand in a playful way.

We developed a custom-made capsule game for this purpose, which casually points out the advantages of the different types of beans in the opening credits. The aim of the digital game was to capture one of the selected capsule varieties by pushing a real cup back and forth. The capsules "rained down" from the top of the monitor at increasingly shorter intervals. Anyone who caught the wrong flavor or was too slow was penalized with minus points. The aim was to collect as many points as possible within 30 seconds.
