Lifegarden Flower Ring

As part of a pro bono project, we had the opportunity to build the flower ring for Lifegarden, an outdoor resilience training course in Zurich.

Lifegarden is an outdoor resilience training course located near the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich. Surrounded by nature, it is a freely accessible learning and experience space that enables visitors to actively strengthen their mental resilience. For this project, we were asked to create the "flower ring" – a module for positive rituals and healthy self-esteem.

Under the guidance of founder Myriam Zumbühl and architect Ralph Meury, our construction team implemented the module according to the specified concept and building instructions.

Robust, sustainable materials such as hemp insulation mats, screen printing plates, and Euro pallets were processed. Our team worked hard on site for a whole day.

In addition to the flower ring, the course includes other interactive stations in the park and the adjacent forest:
The "Re-Framer" opens up new perspectives and promotes optimistic views.
The "Decision Cocoon" supports clear thinking and conscious decisions.
The "Four-poster bed" invites you to breathe deeply and switch off.
The "Resilience Band" strengthens self-efficacy and inner stability.

LifeGarden Zurich demonstrates how resilience training can be made accessible, experiential, and sustainable in an outdoor setting. For more information about the project, visit www.life-garden.org.
