Black Star Sailing Container

The aim was to convert, equip and set up a 40-foot container so that the Black Star Sailing Team's 10-metre hydrofoil catamaran could be transported around the world to races and regattas without damage.

Behind the project is not only a lot of planning and technical visualizations on the computer, the guys from made have also put a lot of work into the project. In their own workshop in Busslingen, they spent over two months wiring, welding, sawing and fitting. made equipped the interior with insulation, workbench, shelves, etc.

Air conditioning and insulation are of eminent importance, as the team competes all over the world in competitions - in a wide variety of climates. The insulation ensures that the catamaran and the replacement material are not damaged due to high temperature and humidity fluctuations.

In mid-June, the converted container with the look and feel of the sailing team and catamaran can be transported to the Urnseree for training and guest sailing for the first time. As soon as the world situation allows it again, the Black Star Sailing Container will be shipped to Italy, Portugal or even to Oman.
