Piazza Moretti

The popular beer brand Birra Moretti shone at the Streetfoodfestival Zurich with a (not quite real) Piazza à la Italianità and wowed with an eye-catcher.

The task for made was to implement the concept of the Italian Piazza (by jim&jim) as authentically as possible and at a turbo speed.

It quickly became clear that the weather would have to play along when the containers were delivered and the façade of the Birra Moretti House was covered with scaffolding, wood and windows. Otherwise, the appearance of Birra Moretti at the Streetfoodfestival threatened to literally fall into the water even before delivery to the Hardturmbrache in Zurich.
In the outside warehouse in Busslingen, not only Adriano Celentano songs from the loudspeaker were working overtime, but also the made team, which simultaneously planned, designed and partly built the interior of the container, the entire facade and the piazza with bocce court and seating.
After the interior fitting of the container, the heavy transport to the wasteland followed, as the assembly and the façade cladding could only take place on site. Two things in particular were not required here: rain and fear of heights.

For that extra touch of authenticity, decorator Monelle and a big-picture painter were enlisted to breathe even more life into the piazza and onto the facade with attention to detail and an eye for the big picture.

The centerpiece of the appearance became the charming container bar - with real tiles (vintage) and the pink neon lettering (trend). An absolute fusion of Dolce Vita and Italo Pop.

  • Container interior finishing (partly manual work)
  • Water and electricity connection
  • Scaffolding
  • Facade construction (wood)
  • Installation window
