KKL Experience World at the anniversary
The informative world of experience was created for the 40th anniversary of the Leibstadt nuclear power plant.
For the 40th anniversary of the Leibstadt nuclear power plant, we worked together with a working group from the KKL to develop a world of experience that offered visitors to the public festival on the site a fascinating and educational journey of discovery through the world of the power plant. Four exciting stations invited visitors to experience and interactively explore various facets of power plant operation up close.
Interstellar
The breathtaking Infinity mirror room takes visitors into the vastness of space, where they can trace the formation of stardust and the cosmic journey of uranium to Earth. Here, guests learned how a rare event that took place billions of years ago laid the foundation for the fuel we use today.
Climate power
The power of energy technology became tangible at this station. "With the most powerful engine in Switzerland (1.7 million hp), energy is produced in Leibstad in a climate-friendly way," was the message of this stand element. Visitors were able to use a playful approach to understand how the different types of power plant influence CO emissions.
Jobs@KKL
The fact that the KKL has a multifaceted professional world became apparent at this stand. Those interested in careers also got their money's worth here. In short video clips, employees from various departments talked about their day-to-day work. The videos offered exciting insights into the diverse career opportunities at KKL.
Innovation
The future is already here: in the Innovation Lab Zone, visitors experienced state-of-the-art technologies such as a robot dog that masters obstacles and is used in practice in power plant operations together with drones and 3D printing. This station impressively demonstrated how KKL keeps its finger on the pulse of the times through technological innovation.
